Porch threshold & steps - Kettering

Back at the Kettering porch makeover. We used a dry polishing kit from ‘Elite Stone Tools’ to finish off these Ancaster Weatherbed stones perfectly.

Limestone floor tiles - Bedfordshire

Under floor heating can work really well in old properties. Stone floors were often laid directly on the earth, if your property is listed you should think carefully before starting any work and seek consent from the conservation office to replace an original floor. If you are replacing a floor it’s the ideal time to add insulation and possibly heating.
This floor replaced modern cement flagstones and is designed to be completely breathable, moisture will gradually evaporate rather than creep to the sides and into the walls.

STEPS, path & patio - Northamptonshire

Just finished a lovely stone path job. We extended the steps down from the main patio by two additional treads using block work clad with matching stone. Then installed a curved stone path with blue brick borders around the outbuilding into another patio area. The solution to the steep gradient of the garden turned out to be an impressive mixture of slopes and steps which worked perfectly for our client.
